Wizarding Attire

Despite the differences between the magical and non magical worlds, the clothing of each are very similar to one another, allowing wizards and witches to blend in very well with the non magical world. Magical attire favors wide sleeves, long flowing black cloaks, and clothing that would appear more suited back in Victorian times. Among those include corsets for women (mainly Purebloods), long dresses, finely crafted suit jackets, dress pants, vests, sashes and belts, pointed hats for formal occasions with wide brims - mainly funerals and some Pureblood weddings, and exclusively black heeled shoes. Seeing a wizard or witch in their magical clothing you would be able to identify them almost immediately since they appear out of time and borderline aristocratic given the non magical clothing trends of the present day.
With this, there are some personal differences as well to each individual. Some wizards and witches prefer to modify their wizarding clothing with that of the non magical clothing; most notably this is done by Nonbloods and some Halfbloods who wish to have their heritage reflected in their fashion. This includes women wearing pants, and wizarding versions of business suits. The mixing of clothing styles has always been popular, and if there is an article of clothing that the non magical community has that is far superior in terms of wearing than the magical counterpart (underwear for men and women as the most known example) then the non magical piece is widely adopted in its stead.
The biggest example of a non magical clothing item taking over and eliminating a portion magical fashion is underwear and lingerie for women, as it has taken all Pureblood Houses by storm, particularly garter belts with thigh high stockings. It is considered a fine addition to Pureblood fashion, and has led to more than one population explosion in the Pureblood ranks over the years since it has been adopted. But this isn't the only clothing piece that has replaced a magical counterpart from the fashion world.
Hoop skirts were eliminated completely from wizarding fashion due to the lack of ability to sit on furniture easily during meetings and parties, and the cumbersome nature of them during dueling. Instead, regular flowing skirts replaced them with zippers often times at the back as was seen in non magical fashion for ease of dressing. This has allowed witches the ability to duel far easier and have much more even roles in society with wizards as compared to what they had previously.
A variety of different footwear were also adopted as well, since the heeled boots and shoes that magical shops sold were oftentimes uncomfortable and easily worn out, being that they were based on old designs and materials from history. The newer versions of shoes from the non magical stores provided comfort, longer product lifespans, and various different styles of shoes for wizards and witches to wear in their leisure time. However, the most common color of footwear that all wizards wear are still black, keeping with tradition.
As it always seems to go, the younger witches and wizards are more apt to adopt non magical clothing in order to seamlessly blend into the other society, but no matter what age, any wizard or witch has a high probability to blend in and maintain the International Secrecy Laws.
