The Lily Black Saga Overview and Welcome

Hello, my name is Ethan Holiday, creator of the Lily Black Saga. I've had this idea floating around in my head for quite some time, and with the shutdown that COVID-19 handed the world, I decided there was no better time to put pen to paper and write her story out. But, I think you should understand a little bit of a backstory to how this came to be.

When I first drafted out Lily and her story it was right when we first heard about COVID-19. Never would I have even understood just how different a direction my life would take with this book when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Personal things entered my life from my college program, the draft got shelfed, and I forgot all about it again...until June 2021. That was when I was encouraged by my new coworkers at my local hospital to continue the story after I was reading through my rough draft and re-writing it during slow moments of working shifts on the weekend as a Health Screener. They allowed me to take the step and get it published.

Now The Return of Sinestra is out and ready for the public to purchase. This will not be the only book telling Lily's story, oh no. As of this moment I have drafted out two distinct phases of her story that will be told, the first phase consisting of eight books followed by a standalone novel, then phase two. By the time those are written I will no doubt have even more drafted out to write as a phase three. I know that my brain certainly won't stop her story where I have drafted it thus far. It will take me time to write all of them out, and ideas for books now can change and morph as time goes on. But I feel confident that her story will write itself out just as easily as this first book has.

These blogs will provide a look into my writing processes, as well as updates on future projects, along with additional lore on Lily's magical world that she finds herself in. So buckle up, grab some comfort snacks, and take a dive with Lily as she embarks on the journey of her life at Gerhardt School of Magic.
